Our business ethics in the daily conduct with customers, partners and employees is determined by the ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption of the UN Global Compact Initiative.
The United Nations Global Compact initiative chaired by Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the UN, has defined ten principles for companies regarding the daily conduct with customers, partners and employees.
Since its official launch on 26 July 2000, the initiative has now grown to nearly 3,000 participants, including over 2,500 businesses in 90 countries around the world.
Companies like Daimler Chrysler, Robert Bosch or Thomson have committed to support and live these principles which are derived from:
- The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- The International Labour Organization's Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
- The Rio Declaration of Environment and Development
- The United Nations Convention Against Corruption
