Our climatic chamber is suited for tests at temperatures from -70 °C up to +180 °C and at a humidity of 10 % to 98 %. We can simulate temperature variations up to 10 K/min (TCV 7016-10-ES from TIRA). The guaranteed operation temperature range depends on the board and is 0 to +60 (45) °C or -40 to +85 °C. In the extended temperature range we distinguish screened (tested) and qualified boards, where all components already have a corresponding guarantee from the manufacturer. In case of high humidity all boards are prepared for coating against dew.

For shock and vibration tests we use a vibration test system (TV 5220 from TIRA) and a vibration controller (SignalCalc 350 from Data Physics). The guaranteed values are 15g/11ms (shock), 10g/16ms (bump) and 2g/10..150Hz (vibration). The required values may vary depending on the application, for instance shock caused by switching cars in railway operation up to 50 m/s² in longitudinal direction or vibration (resonance frequency) over a period of 15 minutes and additionally at 50 Hz for two minutes in all three directions according to EN 50125-1.

In addition we carry out EMC tests regarding ESD (IEC 1000-4-2), burst (IEC 1000-4-4) and radio disturbance (EN 55022).

For all types of boards we calculate MTBF values according to IEC TR 62380. Our standard values are related to a temperature of 40 °C.
