The G20 single-board computer which is based on the CompactPCI® Serial standard received another helping hand.
Extending the functionality of the board, the new GM2 rear I/O mezzanine is used for implementing eight Gigabit Ethernet interfaces which are led to the backplane via CompactPCI® Serial connector P6. All eight interfaces are controlled by two Ethernet controllers which support the IEEE 802.3x standard. In addition, the GM2 offers the possibility to plug a microSD™ card.
As another special feature, the G20 has a CPU-independent microprocessor in the chipset which is based on the Intel® Active Management Technology (AMT). The microprocessor can be accessed via the network using the integrated Ethernet controller even when the computer is in soft-off or stand-by state.
The board is screened for operation in the extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C.
