M-Modules™ M81 & M82 for Missile Launch Simulation

In the next editions of our MENnews we will now regularly feature M-Modules™ and present an "M-Module™ of the Month".

Right at the start of the series, the M-Modules™ M81 and M82 go off like a rocket in every sense of the word.

The M81 is an M-Module™ with 16 opto-relay outputs, including 500 V DC optical isolation from the system and 100 V DC between the channels. The M82 comes with 16 20-kHz inputs, including 500 V DC isolation from the system and 100 V DC between the channels. Both operate in the extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C.

Beside many other industrial applications, the two binary I/O M-Modules™ are used in a test system for simulating a rocket launch. In the CompactPCI® system with 6 execution units and 1 control unit, a total of four M81 and four M82 are accommodated on 3U CompactPCI® carriers.
