About PMC, XMC and PC-MIP®

MEN offers a range of PCI-based mezzanine modules with computer I/O functions such as graphics, Ethernet, UARTs, FireWire, TTL I/O, memory and fieldbus, complying with PMC, XMC and PC-MIP® standards.

PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) is an IEEE mezzanine module standard used to add rather complex I/O functionality independent of the form factor.

The VITA Standards Organization later extended the protocol to include PCI Express® (XMC), processor PMCs (PPMC) and conduction-cooled PMCs (CCPMC).

PC-MIP® is another PCI-based mezzanine ANSI standard.

MEN boards have been developed to work also in rugged environments - qualified or screened regarding shock, vibration, drop, resonance, humidity, chemicals, and up to -40 to +85°C operation temperature.

MEN boards have a long-term availability of minimum 5 up to 10 years (and longer according to individual agreements) depending on the components used.
