Passenger Information and Server Systems for Buses

Standard Components Used in this Example

Rugged embedded box PCs are the ideal solution to build server, storage and PIS systems for public and private buses. They can be used to control any kind of passenger information system, for example infotainment streaming, entertainment, next stop signs, audio systems or ticketing machines. They can be used to provide passengers with internet, local portals and telephony services. They deliver pre-stored media content, such as films, music and online newspapers, or support BYOD via integrated access points.

A standard family of E-mark compliant, conduction cooled embedded box PCs from MEN cover these applications based on AMD, Intel Core and Intel Atom architectures and come for example with integrated multiple wired and wireless connectivity, integrated Ethernet switches, or hot-pluggable storage shuttles.
