Rapid NVMe-SSD Storage on a CompactPCI Serial Shuttle

The CompactPCI Serial SSD shuttle G504 can support a NVMe SSD hard disk, which ensures high data transfer rates thanks to its extremely high bandwidth.

High Bandwidth for Fast Data Transfer

The G504 is a SSD shuttle based on the CompactPCI Serial PICMG CPCI-S.0 standard. Typically, the card can be equipped with a 2.5” NVMe SSD hard disk, which can be addressed via the U.2 interface. Alternatively, the shuttle also offers the possibility to connect the SSD via a M.2 interface.

The NVMe U.2 interface comes with extremely high bandwidth for fast data transfer. The connected SSD is therefore intended to be used as first level storage, e.g., for buffering control data as it is analyzed.

The unit's front panel features two status LEDs signalizing power and activity.

G504’s field of application ranges from automation or power and energy applications, to video analysis and NAS, storage or passenger entertainment systems. Its compliance with the EN 50155 standard makes the board perfectly suitable for use in railway applications.
